IT’S TIME TO LEAVE

Get comfortable with leaving them behind,

when parts of you die.

That’s what death does,

it leaves some behind.

The disappointment and offense taken,

is their mourning.

It is their grief that you see,

not your wrong doing.

The dead don’t return,

even when they are mourned.

Do not be a ghost that lingers,

or step into your next life with one foot.

Take all that you must with you,

and become a memory.

This is an ascension called by God,

your ancestors,

and spirit.

Hear it.

Meet it.

Wear its whisper over your soul.

And leave.
